well played good sir, well played.
i was finally able to see my grades for my first quarter at UCSD. i received 2 B’s, a B+ and an A. my GPA ended up being a 3.325…
honestly, i have no idea how to react. in high school i never had a GPA under 4.0, nor did i ever get so many B’s. so initially i felt pretty disappointed in my academic performance but at the same time it’s college. what would take a year to learn in high school took three months at my university. also, i have no idea whether my GPA is considered good or bad, comparatively. is this about the average or not? i’m left with uncertainty, which seems to have become the usual ever since my college courses began.
surprisingly though, the class i did the least work for ended up being the one i did the best in (which is math… i know there’s a racist joke in there somewhere but whatever). oh the irony. and i’m stoked that i actually got a B in my structural engineering class! i was beyond lost the whole duration of that thing.
overall, i know i could have done better. i swear, i had lingering senioritis from high school or something. i just couldn’t focus on school for some reason, and i slacked off the majority of the time when i should have been studying, especially during and after the four-day thanksgiving break. next quarter i really need to change my study habits… if not, i’m going to be royally fucked.
